Its not supposed to be a traffic source for webmasters, so NO. It is a decent source of information, don't try to ruin it by spamming.

You wont be getting any PR/backlink benefit for your site but surely you will get good traffic from it. It all depends on what questions you tried to answer and at what level.

Its not useful for getting backlinks in SE but a good source of information, can get some traffic as links are no follow.

Nopes, but yahoo answers gives handsome traffic.
But the conversion ratio would be nearer to null as there are people seeking information not a services.

Yahoo answer is not the good place to build backlink but it is a great place to get targeted traffic if you answer properly

Yahoo answers is NoFollow. You will not get any link juice from it, but if you answer questions well, you will get tons of targeted traffic straight to your website since people reading your answer will be interested to visit your website to see what you offer!! At some point of my online career, Y!answers was one of my main source of traffic for one of my websites. But take care and NEVER spam.

I think it's okay , But in case you want to rank higher for certain keywords , you better get some relevant links instead.

It is a very useful place to post good links with useful information. As long as you have good content, yahoo answers will be a very useful tool to bring in good traffic.

Answer questions with good solid information and you'll get traffic. Also not all search engines respect the nofollow tag. (so may get some search juice from it as well)

i suggest instead of yahoo answers, spare your time in DP posting and other forum posting

Well it is useless in terms of search engine value due to the nofollow tags, and frankly I feel that spamming yahoo answers only decreases the credibility of your website.
