Quick way to the top of a Yahoo! Directory Category!

Hey everyone,
So you already have a listing in the Yahoo! Directory, and are sick of being buried deep in the listings. Did you know that you can shoot to the top of your category with a (relatively) cheap Sponsor Listing? The best categories to target are ones that are currently showing Sponsor Results, because purchasing a Sponsor Listing in these automatically bumps the Sponsor Result box and replaces it with your listing! Here's one that could be '"taken over"' if you're listed there: http://dir.yahoo.com/Business_and_Economy/Shopping_and_Services/Home_and_Garden/Furnishings/Rugs/

Is Yahoo in the business of begging for PPC advertisers now? I guess they are hurting after Google bailed out on the advertising deal.

Errr...you seem to have missed the point. What I was pointing out is that you can actually bump PPC advertisers right out of that prime location by Sponsoring your Directory listing. Sponsor Listings is not a PPC program.

Yes that is correct and you can get to the top of the directory but it still needs cash payment and not a free solution.

Like I said, if you are listed in a Y! category, but your listing is buried because of the number of listings, you can sponsor it and replace the blue shaded "Sponsor Results" box (my example above is the Rugs category) with a new yellow shaded "Sponsor Listings" box (you can see one of these in dir.yahoo.com/Business_and_Economy/Shopping_and_Services/Home_and_Garden/Furnishings/)
