while enrolling for google adsense it asked me about company name to whome they will draw the cheque , i filled my name in that column . is that ok , it said you cant edit this company name in future and you wil have to re-apply for the adsense in order to change your company name.
is there anybod who has filled his own name and getting payments regularly.

Drop yourself down as sole owner for your first account. Create a separate legal corporate entity once things start getting big in order to split your profits (this is the $10k+ per month area). This really depends on the infrastructure of how you're organizing tax and whatnot.

what does this mean , should i have to make a new adsens account or i can edit my current profile .please explain.

Well, you answered your own question in your 1st post:

Why do you need to change your name anyways?

NO you CANNOT change your name. this account of yours would always send check addressed to the name you filled at the time of registering.

If you want a different name on the check then you have to delete the old account, and create new one with new information.

note: remember that adsense TOS states that you cannot have more then one adsense account in your name. of course if you are partner of 3 companies and all three can have different accounts in company's name.
