Logo Contest - $40 USD (Paypal)

I'm very impressed by some of the work done in these graphic design contests, and since I'm pretty lousy at it, I figured I'd put some of your expertise to work...and hopefully develop a relationship for more work down the road.

I'm currently looking for one for a quilting site with the title 'Always Quilting'. I want something clean that will work well for website/business cards etc. That said I will need something scalable.

The contest will last until Thursday, Nov 6/08. I'll try to keep up with feedback through PMs as well. Send me a message if you have any questions.

@ChelseaBoi - Thanks for the submission. I like the fact you threw a 'quilt' in the logo. As far as the text...I think I'd like something a little less bold/bright and a little more warm (kinda homey feeling?)...and probably a font that's more stylized (classy?).

Basically...a blanket...sewn with a pattern...

From dictionary.com...

1. a coverlet for a bed, made of two layers of fabric with some soft substance, as wool or down, between them and stitched in patterns or tufted through all thicknesses in order to prevent the filling from shifting.

Thanks for the submissions everyone...

@southdefender: I'd prefer the use of a cursive type font for the wording I think. What does the icon on the left represent?

@sarsh11: Can you try that in a shade of brown? And without the line underneath?

@thelebeau: I like this...simple and clean. Can you possibly incorporate an A into the logo on the left? It might be handy to turn that part into a favicon afterwards.


I had a couple suggestions from the person that owns the company as well for anyone that wants to take a stab at it...possibly using a sewing needle and/or a thimble in the design.

@tsoft: I like it...can you change the font on the 'quilting' to a different color and possibly show me a version with the 't' as a 't' in the script? I just want to see what that would look like (I do understand using the needle to cross it tho :))?

@xaralee - I like the colors...very much what I was looking for...Not so sure about the background...but I like the overall feel of it.

@thelebeau - I actually preferred your first attempt with the separate fonts. I'm not liking the blue in the newer one either.

@xaralee - Nice, I like that much better.

@waiz - I like the concept of the 2nd one alot. Can you try it with a different font for the Always, and a different color than blue, that works with the red...

@waiz - I like those better - still not 100% sold on the colors, but those are easy to modify if your design is chosen.

@thelebeau - I still much prefer your first attempt. I like the cleanness of it. Like I said, this logo will be used for biz cards as well, so a nice clean design works best.

@tsoft - Nice...I think that looks better with the 't'...only suggestion I have is to shrink the 'always' so it doesn't run into the tail from the 'quilting'
