Okay I have a site getting 12-15k uniques a day. Most of these users have some of my images on their myspace pages. So what I did was move all my images to another server and my files on another one. I was wondering what I could do to optmize the image server for just images. There are no php scripts or anything on the server it's just images.

you could remove un-wanted stuff like php, mysql etc, if you not using it do you really need it installed?

wouldnt having the processes for php etc running add to things like server load?
