Yea, they have a pretty nice API, there's tons of good info on it at their site.

Amazon US has a couple of layers, more specifically, Amazon itself works with other merchants, and getting goods that Amazon actually gets supplied from other merchants is a little more complicated than getting goods that Amazon does handle on their own such as books, magazines, DVD, and VHS in terms of programming.

With that said, chances are you're building your store using open/free AWS store software or one of commercial software, so I don't think you'll be concerned about any difficulty in programming so much personally. The only thing you probably want to think about is that whatever software you decide to use enables you to create a link to what you want to sell easily.

Yes. Amazon webstore does allow you to sell the products that are already listed in their catalog.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks.

However, in order to sell Amazon products using your Amazon webstore, you will need to signup for Amazon associates program.

Thanks.

I was wondering whether it's only a US option? Looks pretty good - much better than astores IMO but when you read the T&C, says you need a US bank account / CC.

Anyone from the UK have a webstore or is it simply not available to us?

When you sell Amazon's items in your store, what kind of cut do you keep on it?

When you sell Amazon's items in your store, what kind of cut do you keep on it?

You start out with a 4% commission, but you make more %
with the more items you sell for the month.

It can add up nicely after a while. :)

Hi Tonya,

If I want to sign up for the Amazon webstore, will I need a business license or an EIN/TIN?

Thanks,
Jack

Using AOM you can create a store with new, used, collectible, and refurbished items. No iframe required, 30-day free trial, $99 first year subscription, $ a year after that.

I'm not understanding this correctly. Do you pay $59.99 to Amazon, plus you pay 7% commission on everything you sell. How do you make money?

there are many folks who are earning inspite of the monthly subscription and the commission fee. The thing to note is that you will be saving any hosting charges and you will have your own website. Plus, amazon offers you tools to increase traffic on your stores. What else do you want?
