I have sex toys on my site. It occurs to me that that is a problem for a couple of reasons. While not porn, sex toys, vibrators, massage oil and porn live cheek to cheek. The full service sex toy sites apparently have no choice but to get back links from porn sites, Are porn sites not bad neighberhoods? While I should avoid the porn, obviously, any ideas on who to get link backs from? Are sex advice sites, dating sites any better. I don't want to offend anyone as I know many have dating sites and other legit businesses but the bad neighberhood worries me as I may be a bad neighberhood to them as well. There are few christians for sex toy sites I am aware of? Yikes! Any ideas?

Porn sites are not bad neighborhoods. Although a lot of the nsfw sites are because of there shady link exchange tactics. I'd try and get write ups from adult blogs instead of just links.

Thanks for the input. I have seen porn - which is a rather large term referred to as a niche of sites to stay away from - Clearly some of the porn sites are nothing more than link farm look a likes. I agree that adult blogs are a good source of links and there are a lot of them. Thanks again!

What you need to do is create your own feeder sites that you can link to your sex toys site.

For example make a site or blog about Jessica Alba (or any other model or celeb). It's easy to get links to a site like this. Once this new sites gets some links add some links from the jessica alba site to your sex toy site. Mix up the ip's of these feeder sites. You can even use wordpress.com, blogger, squidoo or any other place that offers free sites or blogs.

Repeat as necessary.

mrspeed - thanks for the tip. I am already using squidoo to link to the main site and it is a good way to get links, Thanks again. Kinda forget about squidoo from time to time but the links definitely show up on my back links.

I agree some porn sites are bad with popups and popunders, but there are also decent porn sites that just let you enjoy porn for free without any tricks or scams, see: porntub.tv
Enjoy!

I'd look for established advice sites like goaskalice or Sue Johansson's "Talk Sex" sites. Google seems to understand the nature of these as valuable resources rather than shady neighborhoods.

I'd also create a page with a few original educational resources, or just a few links if you're pressed for time and/or don't have a copywriter handy. This has been an effective link-baiting strategy that works well for some of my clients.

Also, get some products reviewed by advice sites or other high-brow college-type sites. Reviews almost always give you a link, but you often have to eat the cost of the product and shipping. Good luck!
