Inlinks - Question

Hi all,

I have a bunch of inlinks to one of my websites. I have a couple published on ezine, about 5-6 published on blogs, 5-6 forum signatures and I have a bunch of directories (unable to verify the count but I know a few are published). In Yahoo, it's only showing 5 inlinks to my site (1 is my homepage, 2 are from this forum, the 4th is one of my subpages and the 5th is a directory). Any idea on why it's only showing 5 links? Does Yahoo take time to update? Are there any other ways of verifying valid live incoming links to my site. I've submitted to many directories and I want to verify how many have actually published my link and I would also like to verify my count for seo purposes.

Yahoo (as well as Google) of course takes time in indexing directories. You may want to see your backlinks in google webmaster tools as well (though that's updated once in a while).

Yeah, don't worry about it. Just keep doing your link building and they'll show up in Yahoo and Google over time. Google only shows a portion of them however so you'll probably want to rely on Yahoo for tracking purposes.

I dont know if I only add my link into my signature at some forum (but I don't post anything and forum do-follow) has backlink value ?

it can take some time for your site to get approved in most directories,give it some time
