Keyword Terms Keeping Getting Denied.....

I am trying to build a huge keyword list, but my keywords keep getting denied for lack of relevance content or something to that effect.

The keywords are exactly what I want to use...they ARE relevant. The keyword phrases that I use are keywords that are on my page or in my URL. Everything seems to get turned down......HELP.

Yahoo stinks. 3 days ago I created a new campaign, and just found out that
90% of my keywords were denied. Yeah same as you, relevance, blah blah.
I have a site dedicated to cheap airfares. An example - 'cheap airfares' was denied. 'air force travel' was approved. WTF ?

Meanwhile all my keywords are fine on google and msn adcenter.

Thats the last time I bother with Yahoo. To manage your way through their stinking interface only to get the vast majority of keywords denied. This has happened before on other campaigns as well...I had just forgotten whyI never use Yahoo and decided to replicate a succesful campaign there. Never again.

I just talked with Yahoo today and they told me that they were going to make some serious changes in the next few months. They said that they would be quicker to approve search terms. I asked if it would be similar to adwords, and he said yes. That is the one thing I do not like about Overture. You can spend forever adding your keywords, description, title, and then you have to wait 2-3 days (sometimes longer) to see IF they are approved.

I sometimes wonder how they've stayed in business so long, as they make it so hard for you to spend any money with them!!

I have had the same issue. The thing IMHO that has saved them has been that you can bid for exact position, where you have to go through all of the CTR BS from G!.
My understanding of the "improvements" that Y! will make is that it includes NOT being able to directly bid on position. We will see!
I am in the real estate business and if the folks at our office made it this difficult to get a house, we'd be broke and the homeless shelters would have standing room only....

same here i gave up, i had the yahoo guy call my house and i emailed him the list and still no luck.

yeah 50% of my keywords also got rejected ... :(

I also keep getting around 2000 knocked back, comes from people manually checking submissions, my advice keep submitting you may get another op.

In September when the new Y! rolls out they are automatically approving (automated approval), and then they will do like Google and randomly check items etc. (or those that are flagged).

I know that Yahoo will be switching to a blind bidding system at some point in time. I just hope they get away from the account crap and roll up numbers like Google.

just found interesting thing from Yahoo, just got off phone and as i my url didn't have areas in i was targetting e.g. pizza delivery wales , they were being declined, however since talking to them this has been remedied to anywhere in uk ... a moral victory , good for you Yahoo

5000 keywords.

Only 1200 approved. over 3000 got rejected without a reason.

Still waiting for their reply.

best bet is to call them, appears alot of people are experiencing this enough of us contact them and it will make a difference, well i succeeded

the keywords have to be cleaner.. thats all.. think out of the box.. cheap air travel is too common.. try 'too cheap air travel'.. might work

But that doesn't make any sense. Cleaner ?! Isn't the object that the keywords reflect the subject of the site ? If I make a site about buying cheap plane tickets, 'cheap air travel' is perfectly relevant and should not be rejected.

try inexpensive air travel.. but guess ure right that wont fit what the search terms really are or what customers would search for.. have you checked any sites which tell you the most commonly used search terms for your business? guess that can help in generating the right kind of keywords which give you the most relevant traffic..cheers

I have no problem getting the right keywords, and am running a successful campaign on microsoft adcenter with them. The only problem is yahoo and its groundless rejection of perfectly good keywords...
