How much Technorati helps?

I want to know how much technorati helps in terms of blogs that are pinged

and if you have submitted your blog in technorati, automatically catch all new postings.
you just need to ping it from technorati some times.

i think it helps, but in my opinion technorati is becoming less and less important, is not what it used to be ...

I don't actually think Technorati does much these days. One of the problems is that they keep having technical issues that delay pings, so that isn't up to date. The page that actually has a backlink to my blog is PR0, so no help there. And even my blog that has >100 authority doesn't get any measurable traffic from there.

What it is good for is finding out what other blogs are linking to you. Not every blog is indexed there, but the ones that are will show up.
