Hi all,

I won a cash prize recently amounting to $100 (not a hefty sum, but quite a lot when converted to my home currency) and wish to spend it on developing links for my new affiliate site. If you were me, how will you spend that money on your website in the health/pharmaceutical related industry?

Buy links from high PR sites?
Submit to 100+ directory services?
Hire someone to write a few articles to submit to article directories?

How much do all these services cost by the way? Would be nice if I can afford a mixture of all of them...

I would get a few high PR links.

Get few high PR links for a year or so. I think it is more worth then 100+ directory submission and poor articles.

Is telling someone to buy good links proper SEO advice? I wouldn't think so...

I would try getting myself linked from health-related websites with PR4 and above. Also, I will add my website to web directories manually. You get to keep some of the money doing that since it is free but tedious work.

I do submit my site to directories manually and do link exchange... I do have one question though, when I submit my site to directories, does it matter whether the directory site is related? or must it be a niche directory?

nearly all directories will help you in some way, atleast minimally. niche directories have the potential to be better because they can drive targeted traffic and MAY be more useful for SEO... the latter is debatable though

Of course you should submit your site to the category that fits into your site. Directories that are seo optimized is an advantage if you submit to them. Most can be found from vilesilencer list.

I saw one thread in suggestion and asked the mods to have something which tells that this is an old thread like in SPF

I think that this thread is still good for the people who have the same questions as the
topic creator. Being that I am searching for more ways to build back links at the time this
information is useful.

I bet others who are searching would agree.
