I saw that there are few in-demand actors whose .com versions are still availabe. Is it legit to register their name??

i have few domains like that . i dont think its illegal in anyway .

I think it can possibly cause a problem, that they can reclaim the domain but i'm not too sure as 2 people can easily have the same name.

If it's someone mega famous, e.g. Tom Cruise, they can quite easily take the domain from you if they are bothered about it. But generally speaking, as long as you don't misuse the domain (e.g. use the person's identity to make money out of it) there's no law against registering/owning it.

I think there wont be any problem in it, few years back someone sold SRK.com at a very high price and very high price because its an name of bollywood actor (ShahRukh Khan)
There are many other good domains which are sold for good price like
Hrithik.com
salman.com
this domains were sold for good price.
