Tell us exactly what the 'hacker' does?

a real ddos can't be fixed by changing scripts, only by buying quality equipment that can overcome ddos attacks.

If it's not a real ddos please tell us what the problem is!

Does your webhost offer ddos protection? If not find another host and let them know your situation BEFORE you sign up.

Uhm that was a vague response. I would respond with specifically saying you have DDOS going on and exactly what do they have in place to protect you from it.

Well I think perhaps you need to look into managed hosting. DDOS is basically connection requests from multiple sources. Normally the requests are small chunks so Apache sees it as "legitimate traffic". But basically it saturates the resources of your site/box until it runs extremely slow or shuts down completely. Which LunarPages most likely dropped you because you were on a shared host and causing issues for other sites hosted on the same box. Of course this is just a vague explanation.

You explained right my problem here.

My "problem" not is real visitors, the problem is that DDOS, i received one email before the hacker start the attach, sent to they but, they tell me wich was "real" visitors and i need one dedicated host, but my site not have neither 400 unique visitor daily.

And the script mentioned in the first post block IP for one number "X" of daily visitors, so, you know if this one can help me ?

Link to script:

Well it looks like that script basically will ban any ip that makes to many requests in a certain amount of time. Banning IP's dynamically like that is always risky business. What if Google hit your page hard and made to many requests?

With DDOS its basically multiple computers, usually zombie computers that have no clue they are being used in a DDOS attack. It will then just go out and find another computer to use. You can try the script but not having a lot of experience I highly recommend paying someone to either set it up or manage your hosting account altogether.

Very thank's for your explanation, but i don't have any interest in Google, if he was banned also, not is problem to me.

Well if no interest in Google then go for it! Install the script and see what happens.
