nobody is goind to through content hierachially (sp?). I higly recommend displaying *some* content on every page. so, on the homepage, there should be a random quote from the whole database, if you choose "enemies" from topics, there should be a random "enemies" quote that gives the user at least something "valueable" to read.

if I am forced to click 2 or 3 times to get the first result, it's too deeply buried. user (and search engines) like easy and flat navigation. how about a search form on the homepage?

If you're working with a mac, you could easily put all this in iWeb. They have templates that are very simple to edit. Get a logo.

- You should add some content to the site.

- You should add some more colors into the color scheme.

Here's my opinion:

- first add some color to your site (it looks so boring right now)
- change the header (its so big and nothing special just a plain big black text)
- add more contents in every page
- maybe add some graphics to make it look cool
- maybe try to arrange your quotes (big spaces between quotes, texts are not uniform)

Table off the content
Add an outer background color to compliment font colors
Create a graphical header
Add graphics and/or affiliate banners for color and imagery.
You might even look for some public domain images of the people being quoted.
If you intend on putting some time into site also add short bio on each person. Would be great text content for search engines.
Improve Meta Description "Famous and infamous quotes including Michael Jordan, Leonardo Da Vinci and more. Brought to you by Quote Maniac." In other words get some more keywords in there.
Maybe add an ebay affiliate widget relating to the person also.

demodemo.ws/arcade2 This would be an example of tabling off the body so you can have a main background color/image.

A little on the simplistic side, but to the point. I would add a changing qoute to your home page, that way if people see it change every few seconds they might stick around to see what's up next. Maybe you could add place where people could post their own quotes.

I like the idea, you definitely need to work on the design now. It is on the other hand quiet interesting, kept me looking around lol. Good luck!
