But i need real traffic.
The traffic i get up to this point, is not what i really want.

I have paid someone to submit my link to web directories, (arround 200) and he did submitted. Unfortunatelly the confirmations that have come are about 15%, and when i do an search on google, only few of those have refferences to my site.
What went wrong?

I am a little confused, i thaught that i would see some link back to my site.
And it has passed about 1 week since then.

you paid 200 for submitting links :eek: cool dude i would have suggested that you could have spent that money in advertising of some sort... at least you could have got a lot of visitors....
Well you can get visitors using social bookmarking sites...
using advertising as mentioned above...
exchanging banners with other webmasters...
link exchanges with other webmasters...
and of course the content thing is mentioned above...

NOT all directories send confirmation (about 30% do)
NOT all directories accept you within a week (only 10% I would say)
thus your link is not live yet

Even if you links are live google and other SE will take some time
before they actually find the links

It takes some time (1-3 months) before you see any benefit from
directory submission

Also be constant in PR submission and article submission..

Most traffics usually come from search engines and in order to achieve that you need a lot of quality contents added to your site. I'm talking about targeted traffic here and not those coming from social networking sites which normally doesn't help on the conversion.

I find my best way it to place my links in forum signatures... at least you know real people look at it. I also occasionally participate in some click exchanges (depends on what site i want to promote)
