View Full Version : How long does it take for godaddy to issue refunds? Something wierd happened.

The other day, I noticed an LLLL.com was avail, fnof.com

So I went to godaddy, it said it was available so I purchased it. I was all happy n shit like oh hell yeah I got me an l4

then I got this email,

Dear John Doe,

The following domain name has failed to be registered:

FNOF.COM

Error: FNOF.COM: cannot register - already registered

We will evaluate this error and retry the registration
if appropriate.

If we are unable to successfully register the domain
name, your account will be credited accordingly. Please
allow one business day for the refund to be processed.

Please contact GoDaddy.com, Inc. if you need any further
assistance:

I called them and said they will give me a refund

but its been about 5 days where the hell is it?

contact them again and if they dont corporate you can warn/threat them (according to their response;)) that if they don't refund you would make a complain to ICANN.


And most of the time mentioning of ICANN is enough to speedup the process.Give them a days time and if you are still not refunded you can actually logde a complaint against them at.

According to the GoDaddy's information, the refund should be posted back to the original payment method within 5-7 business days (or up to 10 days for international accounts).

Lol yea that should have done it. I contacted them again and pressed the issue and they refunded promptly. Lol I'll keep that in mind next time, thanks

they are bastards when it comes to refunding. It took me once whole month to get over $300 back from them, they simply ignored my emails. They still owe me $40 from than.

I had my refund during the .me confusion and it was within 2 or 3 days i think, chase it up with them.
