I haven’t been in the game long enough to know for sure but I do remember that on this weekend last year my sites had a very small amount of traffic. Well, so far this weekend doesn’t appear to be any different.

What are your thoughts?

Best wishes,
Kimmy

Yep... same here. But it's *is* 4th of July weekend, so you don't really expect people to be indoors screwing around on the Internet, do you? :)

My name is Colbyt and I have an internet addiction.

Even Shawn shames me for it.

Sigh

each of those activities having a few hundred million fans
all same weekend and each a few hundred million fans combined - may make a billion or so off the www and on the TV

and G having serious troubles since june 27th ...
no wonder me too i have the lowest ever weekend since years

since the 4th falls on possibly the crappiest day of the week (tuesday), it'll suck for a while. Many people are getting mon and tuesday off too, and its one the bigger travel days of the year too.

I mostly expect all holiday weekends to be slow. Typically I see more traffic later in the weekend as people are returning home from their holiday travels, but overall, it's always slow on holidays.

Yeah, there has been a huge decline in traffic for me since Friday afternoon and today has been the worst by far. Damn those family picnics and gatherings! :)

On any given year, just about the only days that are slower than the 4th of July weekend is Christmas. Simply put people would rather be spending time with family and enjoying a beautiful July weekend outdoors than surfing our websites.

My traffic is Always slow during the weekings which is really odd, but this weekend has been quite terrible with Canaday Day, soccer, good weather, 4th...

Glad to see it wasn't just my sites that had a quiet weekend - but conversion rates for the visitors that came along were very good :)

What with the World Cup, Wimbledon, and summer in general, I really don't expect this time of year to be busy on the web. There's something about hot weather that compels us to go outdoors, even when we know we risk sunburn, heatstroke or hay fever.

Has anyones traffic started to rise? Friday, Saturday and Sunday were down but Monday started to pick up. How about today with it being the 4th? Mine seems to be rising nicely but I expect tomorrow or Thursday to be back where it should be.

All of my sites are slower by about 25% over Sat, Sun and Mon.

Not sure about today - it's only 10AM here.

Good idea Rob!

Thanks! I got a NEW $300 putter (http://www.golfsmith.com/products/SC51) for $125 on Ebay last night. But other than that nothin' too great yet.

One of my sites had a pretty extreme bounce after the 4th!
