I have recently established a blog and would like to submit it to other blogging directories.

Is there a group of blog directories someone can submit to me to submit my blog to?

my personal experience was that my blog (and my wife's) was free from spam until i submitted to these blog sites... then they just flooded in... comment spam...

so from now on, i won't submit blogs to any of these blog directories anymore... not sure about normal website directories though...

The point is the traffic I think. If the traffic remained same but spam increased, it is bad. If the traffic increased exponentially and spam as well, then it is about what do you choose, more traffic or less spam?

(Installing good spam block plugins when available might be better solution than hiding in the backwoods where no one can find you.)

I have only submitted one blog to a directory, my personal blog, and that one now gets about 20 comment spams a week. The blog is also the youngest out of the 20 or so blogs I post on. Go figure.
