Guys , does using a url shortening service like tinyurl hurt ur sites search engine ranking with google?

It won't hurt your ranking in Google however it won't help either.
Signatures in DigitalPoint are DoFollow so it makes sense to link to your site directly ;)

Usually, link shortening services are used to 'hide' the true link from the status bar when hovering over it. Most typical links of the this nature are affiliate links where their aff Id number is highly visible.
In general, I avoid clicking on any tiny url links at all.

it's a redirect, ofcourse it isn't going to help your rankings

yes it won't harm your site but it really won't help in rankings too you only get your site indexed.

use php redirects on your website, try to stay away from tinyurl

I Use it for only affiliate links,etc to hide the links... and I don't use it in my sig's.
