Hi,
I want to register a domain name (.com),
but I like to assign a forged name for its registerator, in order for me to stay unknown, like a supposed person in Amerika, living in one of the supposed regions in America!
1- is this task possible?
2- is it problematic?
3- is there any way for keeping the charachteristics of the domain registrator secret?
Thanks.

It would probably be wise to put your proper details in for the WhoIs information, but I do believe there is a way that your details can be hidden when the public do a search for it...

There's a service called WHOISGUARD, or WHOISGHOST that some registrars offer (eg: namecheap) that give anonymity in WHOIS information.

This is called Private Whois. See this (http://uk.wrs.yahoo.tl.my/_ylt=A1f4cfMcEr1IuJ0AkR5LBQx.;_ylu=X3oDMTE2NTZiYnNiBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDMTAEY29sbwNpcmQEdnRpZANVSzAyNjNfMjYz/SIG=11m2b1p3g/EXP=1220436892/**http%3A//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whois)
for further info on this matter.
Its when the registrar provides you a service of covering your true identity with their proxy service so that people will not know when checking your site via whois service (http://who.is)
If you want one domain with free whois buy at Name.com plus they are cheap. Goodluck :)
p/s- a small tq would be nice:D

I don't thinkyou should register a domain name with fake information. You can use whois guard which is around 3$. You can easily get whois guard facility in namecheap.

http://www.webhosting.info/registrars/top-registrars/global/
Our Country is banned with Godaddy.
Please introduce me a registrar Out Of The USA.For example in Canada or other countries.
Because USA Companies maybe Closed our domain!
Please introduce me a very good and safe registrar with whois guard, out of the USA.

For example Tucows.com in canada, does it support whois Guard?

Every single accredited ICAN registrar all offer Private WHOIS but only depend and varies upon prices. Even crap companies like NetwrokSoltin offers them:D
Then again I have never met one not offering but I maybe be wrong.

In the the past godaddy cancelled a domain of mine even though the whois info was correct! They told me I did not verify the whois info which was incorrect as I replied to their email notice. Took me two days to get the domain restored with them and get the business back online they they took down. I have long since removed all domains away from godaddy. I don't care for nor trust their services after that incidence.

Interesting story Wella Host Inc. I've heard similar horror stories from godaddy. It just goes to show, sometimes you do get what you pay for :)

That sounds bad.
The main thing that attracts me to them is their customer support, which is my experience is top-notch.

Nope, only few registrars who offer registrations to end users like you and me
can do so. Google, Amazon and Microsoft are registrars themselves, but none
of them offer such.

You can try name.com, mydomain.com, domainsite.com, dynadot.com, namcheap.com, eurodns.com (EuroDNS is based in euro if not mistaken) and etc. Most of them offer private registration as well. Here is the post cover some major registrars as well as promo code

In this case, I do not grasp your meaning.
I do not think pricing in itself here, reflects on the service one should expect.

Anyway, outside of the US, there is Answerable, Directi...also Netfirms.
