Sorry if im way off the ball here but I really cannot find an answer to this one. (been looking for a while)

OK when I was heavily into back link building a few years ago with one of my websites we were trying to rank for the word

So we bought back links off BOTW.org and viva directory and v7n and some other ones.

Our serps linking for that went from not being on there to page 56, then page 20 then page 2 in a matter of weeks!


Now I have been out of the SERPs games for a while and I herd a while back that paid directories don’t get indexed any more so this is now not possible.

HOWEVER because I herd this I didn’t pay to renew my back links and my PR dropped then my SERPS fell off the planet….


So my question is…. Do paid directories still increase your serps…

Yes they do. Directories are still getting indexed. But I believe the link weigth as drop with the newest google algo.

Any link on a page that is visible to google bot (google cached) will eventually get indexed and count as your backlink ...

You should always check for yourself if the directory is indexed or not. It takes seconds anyway...
Google is not very happy about paid directories (and free directories too if you ask me) lately.
Try to get some quality in-content backlinks from "normal" sites. They will do the job for sure ;)

well they better be worth more than a backlink or i just lost 300 bucks lol.
