Which of the following 2 domains should I go for?

I have a very broad niche and have chosen 3 particular keywords to target.

I am having huge confusion in which domain name I should go for. I have the following two options


1. keyword1-keyword2ing.com
2. keyword2keyword1keyword3.com

The first option has a hypen in between and actually has and 'ing' at the end, which makes it a not so popular search term. But it is easier to remember.

The second option has all my three keywords, though not in the right order and it maybe a bit difficult to remember in addition to being longer.

I don't particularly plan to use word of mouth advertising. My only bet would the the search engines to find my site. What do you guys recommend that i should go for?

I would recommend option 2, because even thought you are going to be using search engines primarily, your returning visitors will need to remember your name and option 2 seems easier to remember. Also, a domain name with a hyphen in it tends to be worth less.

I would go for the second option, although search engines will find you from your keywords whatever the domain name. These days with bookmarking and favourites does anyone remember domain names?

i would suggest you go with the second option.

I would say that this kind of fine judgement is very difficult to make without knowing the actual domains because they will either 'sound right' or they wont. I'm not asking you to post the domains, I know why you need privacy. Just maybe trust your own internal judgement on this one.
Type the three domains out in Word, have a glance at them and trust your first gut instinct as to which one is the best.

I would also recommend option 2. hyphenated domains do not resell as well and the SEs will still recognize the individual words within the domain name. Granted either method can be optimized and promoted equally well.

I'm going to go with the crowd and agree, option two for all the reasons mentioned above -- not to mention it looks better in print, too.

the other day on the radio the announcer said to go to keyword (hyphen) keyword.com and it just sounded so bad said orally!

If they are reg fee, doesnt hurt to spend the extra $7 and get both though
