Is my blog rank good?

Alexa rank of 6,597,499 just started blogging on 17th aug 08..


I'm assuming that's horrificly bad..

Alexa rank tells you nothing. It's just an indication how much traffic you are getting. How well you rank in google WILL be something to follow.

I started a new blog on july 20, about the same alexa rank also, it started to go up and now having alexa rank of 1,405,792.

While its true google rank is the thing to follow but it takes long long time to be updated, so I'm sticking to alexa for now.

It's growing and takes time, and do some seo stuff for your blog, that helps a lot.

Install the Alexa toolbar or Firefox’s SearchStatus extension and set your blog as your homepage. This is the most basic step.

Put up an Alexa rank widget on your website. I did this a few days ago and receive a fair amount of clicks every day. According to some, each click counts as a visit even if the toolbar is not used by the visitor

I started my blog in july mine is 993,419. It takes time get your rank on top
