The barcode in the logo at the top of the forum pages actually says something. Anyone have a barcode scanner, or the ability to figure it out? :)

Ummmm ... UPC standards say 12 digits (no letters) and requires "guard bars" ... usually these are "dropped", but looks like you have cropped those ... and when looking at a 800% magnification in Photoshop, it appears there might be a "101" start bar on the left, but I don't see a "101" end bar on the right. I think what is complicating this is that your GIF is showing at least 4 shades of grey ... when in actual fact, the bars should be either black or white ... probably some "averaging" from your image program.
So ... if you put a good quality image up (doesn't have to be bigger, just no greys in the bar code), this should be easy to decipher.
BUT ... there are other barcode standards besides UPC, so it's possible you might be using one of those, especially because the width of the bar code itself is 140 pixels, and there should be 95 "bits" of information out there.

Welllll ... according to this page, (http://www.adams1.com/pub/russadam/info.html#Specs) there are over 300 bar codes ... and most of 'em that I looked at depend on "black/white" for the bars ... so given the at least 4 shades of grey I saw in yours, someone else smarter than me will have to figure this one out! ;-)

Normal milk is indeed, goat's milk is a lot easier to digest. But you are right indeed, milk is shite in general. I only use a drip of goat's milk to moisten the cereal a bit. Makes it easier on the sore throat.

No doubt you could pull off a talk show, you will have the opportunity to engage in internet video as digital video and websites will be the next hot webmaster technology.
The hot websites will all be video sites down the road, sort of a online TV network/website.
Lever

When the bandwidth becomes available to do some major "webcasting" there will be some great opportunities to promote some really good "WeeVee" ((TM, Lever 2005 ;)) - can you imagine that, Anthony? All day Led Zep shows?
"Rock ladies and gentlemen, we interrupt this webcast to bring you... Shaaaakiraaaa *yeah* "Some good times ahead. Didn't Dave Lee Roth do a track called "Good Times" ? Stevie Vai on 12-string from what I remember?
anthonycea
Jan 7th 2005, 7:09 pm
Yeah the sad part is that we will all have to pay for rights to show that sort of content, it will not be the wild wild west any more.
You will not be able to post copyrighted material as freely as we do today without getting busted.
That will change the business as we know and practice today, when the holders of copyrights start enforcing them it will be hell on the average webmaster.
Google and the other engines are already feeling the heat.
So you will not be able to just put on some video or songs as you will without the rights being paid for.
Lever
Jan 7th 2005, 7:44 pm

Sure the recording and movie industries knows this is going to happen, why do you think they are suing high school kids, next will be webmasters.
They are already trying to shut down the bit torrent guys.
The lawyers always win in the end and if you want to stay in business you have to play the same old game.
Produce your own content and you have to police it also.

Well you host websites and must be aware of this trend and be prepared for it because it is surely coming and soon.
Webcasting is already taking place even on dial up connections, but with wireless broadband we will see an explosion in this and it will be mainstream within 2 years.
Microsoft is already pushing their cable TV (ITV) software and their media center PC's.

flawebworks
Jan 8th 2005, 8:21 am
I don't see it move. I have animation turned off in my browser. I'm choosing to annoy everyone else right now.

Yes FlaWW, but the kids are the targets of all merchandisers as they are the one's who buy music, movies, garments on a large scale.
I have the same pair of jeans until they turn to dust and am still listening to Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin.
Now are you understanding? You have to sell into growing markets and to the hot markets and kids want video, not old style pages.
The wave of the future is convergence with television, I just seen Microsoft's new ad on Microsoft TV today, no need for a PC, just hook this up to your TV and get online with a subscription to MSTV.
