Heavily osCommerce (eCommerce) themed freelance site. Recent update puts it at a PR6 with all internal pages PR5.

Other projects prevent me from fulfilling the website potential. I don't want to waste that nice green bar so will put it up for sale.

Not looking to get rich from selling one website but not wanting to get taken for a ride either :) I have not appraised the site value so will use good old fashioned dead reckoning...and common sense.

No certain price but I'm doing my research now on what similiar start-up sites with comparable PR is selling for. General rule is make a fair offer and we'll all be happy :)

I have also queried some osCommerce based merchants if they are interested (osC webhosts, template providers, etc) and will wait until those replies are received before evaluating the bids. However, it should be known that there is more than $500 invested in the link campaign alone...

What is the traffic for the site? What are the target KW phrases in those anchor links. Are the links permanent or temporary. What percentage of links will the site lose once it changes hands. What assurances do your provide that the site will lose no back links upon transfer of ownership and for what period of time will you back that with a money back promise?

Doesn't look like a ton of activity on the site for such a high PR. Just curious. Seems an "unnatural" marriage high PR no posting activity. Being a forum, google seems to like them far better than a typical site and is sometimes overly generous with PR....Kind of like how blogs used to be.

As it stands now with the information provided I'll give you $50 bucks. $10 for the domain name, $10 for the content, $30 for the back links in place and a big I'm sorry you invested so much with so little return. Hate doing that myself and why the offer stands until you provide a better reason above a page rank to make a larger investment.

I noticed many links comming from sites that I guess you have some affiliation with, for example, http://bdcconcepts.com/directory/ , would those links stay after the site is sold?

What is the traffic for the site?

The traffic for the site is rather low at around 25 uniques per day (all Google referrals). The website has not been marketed heavily and has been sleeping mainly due to conflicts with the osCommerce development team. If you don't see the value of the keywords in the domain than this purchase is probably not for you.

What are the target KW phrases in those anchor links.

The keywords for the domain should be apparent. osCommerce and freelancerers. The osCommerce application (http://www.oscommerce.com/) is an open source shopping cart with an estimated user base of 250,000+. It is available as a free 2 click install with cPanel and Fantastico. The support forum has 55K+ registered members and about 10X that much traffic in lurkers who never register and just search/read threads. The rate of user base increase is incredible but the fact remains that 90% of the users are store owners with no technical experience. Hence, the keywords are oscommerce freelancers will be very lucrative in the coming months and years.

The links are permanent. All links are natural or come from internal sites.

All links are either natural or come from internal sites. I have 4 listings in the DMOZ osCommerce category so will assure that the theme of the site is truly osCommerce and freelancing.

I will extend guarantee that none of the internal links are lost for 2 years but will not accept responsibility for what is the responsibility of the purchaser to conduct further linking campaigns. I cannot vouche for the natural links of course.

It is not a forum. It is a freelance site. There is also a vBulletin based forum that will go with the site (including transfer of license which is a $160 value).

Yes...the links will stay but most likely not as site wides. I'll guarantee that each internal site will link to the freelancer site on a (maindomain PR -1) page. The site has natural links from freelancer sites on mostly PR5 and 6 pages so the PR should be maintained or at the most lose 1 PR.

Wasn't humor, I was serious. You provided insufficient information for which any potential buyer could make a serious offer. While I very easily could have run an analysis on what you've done with your back links in terms of targeting etc, that was not my point.

What you supplied in response is what you should have supplied in the beginning. To many PR "Spoofs" anymore to take such a vague proposal seriously based up PR only.

Glad to see you've reconciled this. I'm not a "Techi" so would have no interest in this project as it would be waste of a potentially valuable future commodity which someone else who is serious with your project might do something with. Since I don't buy sites nor domains for resale it would not interest me either.

With 4 listings in DMOZ I would not sell for less than 4K just because in the industry I focus in a single quality DMOZ site would not sell for less 10K and that would be at a bargain price. A domain only would fetch between 1.5K to 10K depending upon the name and how the domain is listed.

It's not a comparable industry by any stretch, but none the less You may want to invest in a site appraisal before giving it up for a song.
