View Full Version : Google kicked out SEOChat from its index

Surprisingly enough, Google is on its way to completely delisting SEOChat.com from its index.

site:forums.seochat.com (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=http://forums.seochat.com%2F&btnG=Google+Search&meta=) shows no results.

site:www.seochat.com (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=www.seochat.com%2F&btnG=Google+Search&meta=) shows no results.

They are baffled to the bone and needs your help… Hehe… :D

Weird, I see everything normal...

But it would be good to see them kicked out... maybe that will bring their stupid admins back to earth and get rid of the ads splattered all over the place

I have started learning SEO for seochat.com. It was having PR6 in Jan-Feb 2005. In next PR update it got PR8. But in next update...it lost PR8 and come back on PR6.

Now, it is PR7.

I was very found of seochat.com, but slowly my craze lost. I don't like its style, ads, article showing way, seo tools.

The traffic there is also going bit down, people seems to not taking interest in seochat.

I agree with both of you.

The ad thing is really a problem.... The pages just take way too long to load ---- I learned alot there too and used to be one of the main members.... I really do not go on there any more.... It's a terrible thing....

Was just reading about seochat forums being de-listed from google and hadn't seen it on DP so here is the link (http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/003422.html).

Nobody at seochat (http://forums.seochat.com/google-optimization-7/seochat-booted-from-google-72338.html) seems to know whats going on.

Ouch... Since DPF gets about 60% of its traffic from Google, this might well piss off their advertisers enough to be the end... Nicely tying in with Yfs1's post I just read.

Just noticed it was mentioned already: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=62428

Interesting stuff. The BigDaddy DC's are the one's deindexing... a sign of things to come for them.

A lot of people on seochat are analyzing the pages and talking about over use of nofollow links etc. It seems that the people posting have little confidence in the people who do the design work.

I was laughing when somebody said "hey why do my signature links have nofollow" and started talking about sneaky tactics or something.

They are just doing what they are told...The no follow thing was a ridiculous option based on really bad SEO.

There are also a lot more similar things going on. (http://www.yfs1.com/2006/forums-inflating-online-guests-and-membership-to-advertisers.html)

Yeah, I read that this morning.

Picking one page (http://forums.seochat.com/google-optimization-7/) at random there are literally hundreds of nofollow links on the page. I am not going to bother trying to figure out what they have done wrong (if anything) but if you try and use any dubious practices in seo then you may get burned.

Yes especially when it's wrong.

Whoever posted that is ill

seochat is not going to be deindexed....

They have a Google PR of 7 that shows...probably an 8 in Google Internally...

Results 1 - 10 of about 12,600 from www.seochat.com

thats 12,000+ pages in Googles index....deindexed would = 0

Why doesn't the person who thinks seochat will be deindexed worry about their site...

I doubt it is a resource of any value whatsoever.

It should also be noted I write for seochat.com but would post the same thing if a fool has posted WPW was to be deindexed...

1,000,000 to 1 says the poster is an "seo"

Apparently the post does not like the mods at seochat....

probably due to the fact makes idiot like posts claiming seochat will be delisted LOL

Most of the admins and mods on seochat are very well respected by Google Yahoo & Msn

see this for what it is a pissed off "seo" not getting props on seochat

A little more research and the author would find this is just another google screw up. There tends to be a lot of those lately... but I already ranted about that on another thread so I'll leave it at that here.

Dude get off your FREAKING high horse......Webmastertalk said nothing to deserve such comments from you.....

Remember your a writer.....that's all you are....YOU own NO ONE.

If you actually did OWN someone you'd be a little further in life than trying to belittle someone cause you think your freaking special or something. If I owned SEOchat you be an unemployed writer about right now because of your unprofessionalism while using the SEOchat name as a backdrop.

I am much more than an author..

get off your high horse yourself

...I don't work for anyone but myself., so it would be very hard for seochat to fire me.

webmastertalk is no authority to comment on seochat and or dev hardware for those missing the larger picture and the resources they have been / are.... before many of you hopped on the net....

They have issues, as do all large sites....but to post they are being de-indexed and or should be is wrong and immature IE: webmastertalks post was a stab at seochat to try to garner publicity to his own site .....and I won't mention a shot to DP forums....

Most of you should try and have those problems.

"Judge not the splinter in anothers eye, till you have removed the tree from your own"

Most of the admins on seochat are very well respected

Now you are just making an ass of yourself as you have no clue on the ownership structure of SEOChat. Say what you will about whether you feel its a resource or not but you are the first person I have ever read that posted that the "Admins" are respected. I could go into what ownership does behind the scenes all day long but I am pretty sure it will be wasted on you.

As far as being an author for them, not sure I would brag about that either. They have hardly any review process except to make sure the grammar and spelling is acceptable.

And lastly, the initial posters observations were valid whether there is an explanation for them or not. Your idiot posts that followed it however are a different story.

GoogleGuy says everything should be back to normal in about a week.

Based on the specifics everyone has sent (thank you, by the way), I'm pretty sure what the issue is. I'll check with the crawl/indexing team to be sure though. Folks don't need to send any more emails unless they really want to. It may take a week or so to sort this out and be sure, but I do expect these pages to come back to the main index.
